At Perfect Meds, we’re proud to offer an in-house prescriber service through our GPhC-registered pharmacy in Bradford. As part of the NHS Pathfinder programme, this service allows our qualified healthcare professionals to prescribe treatments directly, making access to care faster, easier, and more convenient.
Whether you need support with a long-term condition or treatment for a common illness, our in-house prescriber can help. There is no need to wait for a GP appointment, which means you can get the care you need more quickly.
What Is an In-House Prescriber?
An in-house prescriber is a qualified pharmacist who has completed additional clinical training to prescribe medicines independently. In practice, this means they can assess your symptoms, offer medical advice, and prescribe treatment where appropriate.
Importantly, this service is part of a modern approach to primary care that supports the NHS, reduces pressure on GPs, and helps patients receive quicker access to safe and effective treatment.
How the Service Works
Our in-house prescriber service is currently being delivered through the NHS Pathfinder pilot. If you’re eligible, you may be able to:
- Speak directly with a prescribing pharmacist at Kirkgate Pharmacy in Bradford
- Receive a face-to-face consultation for common or minor health concerns
- Be prescribed treatment during your visit, if clinically appropriate
- Be referred to a GP or specialist if further care is needed
During your visit, we will carefully assess your symptoms and advise you on the best next steps for your care.
