How Does Cialis (Tadalafil) Work?

Cialis works by inhibiting the phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) enzyme, which relaxes the smooth muscles in the blood vessel walls of the penis and increases blood flow. The active ingredient tadalafil is absorbed into the bloodstream and travels to the penis, where it enhances blood flow to produce an erection when sexually stimulated.
