Emergencies

Follow These Steps If You Are In Urgent Need Of Medication

There may be occasions when you require prescription medication urgently and do not have a prescription, and the pharmacy can still provide it to you. This is known as “Emergency Supply”.

Emergency Supply can happen at either the request of your doctor (typically for a new medication) or from you as the patient. As a community (bricks-and-mortar) pharmacy, we may be able to supply certain medications after an assessment by the pharmacist.

Please be aware that some Emergency Supplies may carry a charge, even if you normally do not pay for your prescriptions, and not all medications are eligible to be supplied in this way.

If we are unable to help directly, you can also contact NHS 111, who may refer you to a local pharmacy for an Emergency Supply.

There are important procedures that we must follow, so please telephone the pharmacy to speak to a member of staff, and the pharmacist will be able to recommend the correct procedure for you to follow.
