- Do not take Doxycycline with dairy products, antacids, iron supplements, or calcium supplements as these can reduce the absorption of the medication.
- You must inform your doctor about any prescription medications you are taking before using Doxycycline, particularly blood thinners, antacids, retinoids, or other antibiotics.
- Do not take Doxycycline at the same time as isotretinoin (Roaccutane) as this combination can increase the risk of increased pressure in the brain.
- Always take Doxycycline with a full glass of water and remain upright for at least 30 minutes after taking it to reduce the risk of oesophageal irritation.
- Complete the full course of treatment as prescribed, even if symptoms improve, to reduce the risk of antibiotic resistance.
